Words from my spiritual healer
"I would say definitely continue to meditate and gradually deepen the practice. be outdoors. enjoy clean food and physical activity and sunshine. do the things that help you feel centered, light and clear. from that clear and detached state of mind, start to remind yourself (what i'm sure you already know) that true happiness can only come from within yourself, not through someone else. easier said than done, believe me, i know...i'm a romantic and i understand all the nuances of this struggle of wanting to search for that special person. but i believe we have to learn to be happy, content and whole on our own, within ourselves first, without needing someone else. only then (ironically) can we be ready to accept the kind of companionship that enriches, rather than torments, our lives. i just think it's better when we are able to share our happiness with someone else, rather than derive it from them...(and i often need to be reminded of this just as much as anybody else!)"
